Q.Is my luggage transported for me?

A.Your luggage is taken on ahead by Bath and West Country Walks to the next destination on all linear self-guided walks.

Q. Do I book my own flights for overseas holiday?.

A. Yes, We provide details of suggested flights that our transport will meet at no extra cost.

Q. Do I need to purchase guide books or maps?

A. Walking information packs are provided by Bath and West Country Walks which include walk notes, route maps and details of the local area.

Q. What standard of accommodation will I be staying in?

A. All accommodation arranged by Bath and West Country Walks is of high standard in England as well as overseas with full en-suite facilities.

Q. Do I need to be fit to do these walks?

A. You should be able to cover a distance of 2 miles level walking within one hour. All walks, however, are designed by Bath and West Country Walks to cater for the pace of the individual walker.

Q. Can I start my self guided holiday at any time?

A. You can start at any time but because of the pressure on accommodation in Bath, it is preferable not to start on a Friday/Saturday. Bath and West Country Walks are, however, flexible to your own arrangements subject to availability of accommodation.

Q. Can I extend my holiday?

A. Extra nights can be booked by Bath and West Country Walks on all holidays subject to availability of accommodation. Individual itineraries can be arranged upon request.

Q. What arrangements are there for lunch whilst walking?

A. Bath and West Country Walks have designed all routes so that they pass through small villages which have either a Public House or other establishment where you can purchase food and/or refreshments. Packed lunches are included on guided walks.

Q. Are evening meals provided on the walks?

A. Guided walks include Bed & Breakfast,picnic lunch and dinner. Self guided walks are Bed & Breakfast only to enable you to sample the local restaurant of your choice.

Q. Why should I book my walking holiday through Bath and West Country Walks and not make my own arrangements?

A. Sue and Graham Robinson of Bath and West Country Walks have many years of experience in organising walking holidays both in England and overseas and have personally researched the walks and accommodation. You will, therefore, be safe in the knowledge that a lot of planning and thought has gone into every aspect of your holiday.

Q. Do you arrange guided walking breaks?

A. Each year we offer small group guided walking holidays to experience the delights of the Cotswolds,Exmoor, Somerset and Wiltshire countryside. We also offer walking holidays to discover our English heritage and the beauty and mystery of such places as Avebury, the Wiltshire Downs and the beautiful moors and coastline of Exmoor together with Stourhead,famous for the National Trust house and gardens. Winter and spring holidays are available in Austria and Cyprus.

Q. Can my walking club book a guided or self-guided walking holiday with Bath & West Country Walks?

A. We have experience in arranging individual group itineraries to suit your organisation. Every year we develop tailor made walking breaks for clubs, groups and specialist agents to experience the beauty and heritage of the West Country and overseas.
